The PY1 pyramid: an immersive universe coming to Old Montreal!

Montreal, March 29 2019 – Lately, you may have noticed a large pyramid-shaped structure setting up near the Clock Tower Pier in the Old Port of Montreal. This is PY1: the new touring venue from Lune Rouge Entertainment. Starting June 1, PY1 will offer fully-immersive, collective experiences to its visitors with the premiere of its first custom-produced show, Through the Echoes.

World Premiere show in PY1: Through the Echoes

In this poetic and digital odyssey by show director Gabriel Coutu Dumont and initiated by Guy Laliberté, the audience will be submerged into a universe of light, music and a ballet of technology and multimedia, to re-discover the power of human connection. Guided by the stars and the voice of author Alan Watts, spectators will be invited to explore the thread that links space and time.

« Gabriel Coutu Dumont is a multi-disciplinary artist and accomplished director of imagery. His work and performances are exhibited worldwide, explains Stephane Mongeau”, CEO of Lune Rouge Entertainment. “To create the show Through the Echoes, Gabriel drew on all the worlds that he dabbles in: visual arts, theatre and pop music.”

« Through the Echoes is first and foremost a story told through music and images. Samples from Alan Watts’ recordings bring a second, literary, level to the story” adds Gabriel Coutu Dumont, show director.

“It is a true pleasure to collaborate with the creative team behind Through the Echoes. My father was a great man and a visionary. It is to honor his talent, to hear his words and to allow the younger generation to discover him that we accepted this extraordinary collaboration”, said Mark Watts, Alan Watts’ son.
